Co-Capital (co-capital.co) is a community and media project for venture investors and supporters, run together with Openfor.co. This page explains what we collect when you use this site, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions: hello@openfor.co.
What we collect
- Request your seat (home page): your name, email, firm, role, the kind of investor or supporter you are, city, LinkedIn URL and your note.
- Investor access: your name, email, LinkedIn URL, location, investor type, firm, role and your reason for applying.
- Atlas reports (add an entry, report a correction, anchor a country): what you tell us about the entry, an optional source link, the name you want to be credited under, and your email.
- Abuse prevention: a one-way hash of your IP address, stored with each submission so we can limit repeated submissions. We don't store the address itself.
Browsing the site doesn't require an account, and we don't use advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie we set is a sign-in session for our own team's admin area.
Why we use it
- To review your request or application and reply to you.
- To check Atlas reports against public sources, publish the ones we can verify, and credit you. The credit name you give is shown publicly on the Atlas leaderboards; your email is never shown.
- To contact you about what you submitted.
Where it is stored and who processes it
- Supabase hosts our database, where submissions are stored.
- Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and the home page loads supporter firms' site icons through Google's favicon service, which means Google receives your IP address when those load.
We don't sell your information or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep submissions while they are useful for the relationship they started, and delete them when you ask. Credits on the Atlas stay unless you ask us to remove them.
Your choices
Email hello@openfor.co to see what we hold about you, correct it, remove your name from the Atlas, or delete it. We reply within 30 days.
